Online continuing Education courses offered by the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario (RPNAO)

Welcome to RPNAO's eCourse series, the next step in our continuing commitment to promote healthier, happier, and more productive healthcare workplaces through lifelong learning, professional development, and increased understanding. Designed to help provide you with the soft skills (the human factors understanding) that will help you navigate and succeed in your workplace, these courses utilize powerful online learning methods to help maximize your success.

In addition to being more cost-effective, and allowing you to maintain your regular life and social network, online courses provide you with the flexibility to study on your own schedule, while maintaining the quality of the knowledge you receive.

These interactive eCourses will help you better function in the healthcare workplace, as you learn how to better interpret and integrate differing personalities and needs -- essentially, learning to be your own mediator. The knowledge and understanding you gain will empower you to resolve conflicts and lessen the stresses that rob you of your passion and job satisfaction. It unlocks the strengths within yourself, giving you the ability to contribute in the productive and innovative way you have always envisioned.

Course Offerings:

Critical Thinking
Dr. Jennifer McRobert.

Not all information is created equal! Through twelve hours of illustrated audio lectures and interactive exercises, Professor McRobert explains Critical Thinking and gives students experience in its practice. Participants in this course will learn how to approach information critically and discriminate in a principled way between opinions.

Introduction to Organizational Behaviour

The study of organizational behaviour is the study of people within large and small groups that may be formal or informal in nature. In this course, the student will explore and examine the interrelationships of individual personality and work, the characteristics of organizations and current organizational theory. Included are consideration of the following topics:
